Attorney Doug Crowther

Doug Crowther joined Perrie and Associates in March of 2016, but has been a general practice attorney for over 22 years specializing in the area of real estate. Doug knew he wanted to be an attorney since he was a freshman in high school. After graduating from The College of Wooster in Wooster Ohio in 1988, Doug took a year to work for the law firm of Kimpel, Hyland, Weinkam and Goodson in Cincinnati, Ohio as a law clerk to make sure his passion really was to be an attorney. The following year Doug enrolled at The University of Georgia School of Law earning his JD degree in 1992.

Doug opened his own practice in 1993 in Watkinsville, Georgia. He learned his craft from the ground up abstracting his own titles in Counties all over Metro and North Georgia and performing his own closings. Doug partnered with attorney Jim Green in 1996, sold his half of the practice to his law partner in 1999 and joined the real estate law firm of Haley & Haley, Attorneys, LLC in metro Atlanta where he concentrated in the area of residential construction law and closings until 2009. Doug went back out on his own practicing real estate closings but also became an expert in mortgage modification and foreclosure prevention during the real estate downturn. Doug prides himself on achieving successful outcomes for over 93% of his clients during that difficult time in the real estate industry.
