Attorney David S. Perrie has over 18 years experience in the title underwriting industry, where he initially was hired as an internal auditor, then was promoted to EDP Auditor, conducted commercial and residential real estate settlements, and abstracted real estate titles. His duties and responsibilities expanded to overseeing all Georgia operations for a leading national title insurance company and became Southeastern Manager with operations in six states under his purview. He holds a CPA degree and in 1998 he graduated from Georgia State University with a JD degree and began practicing law in the real estate field. Hannah Chung joined Perrie & Associates in 2020 as Of Counsel in the Litigation Department. Among the types of matters which Hannah has handled since joining the firm: ensuring that a client was restored to its rightful, first-lien position in a claim of equitable subrogation; successfully persuading a homeowner that its claim of negligent construction against a client had no merit; obtaining a dismissal of an action for monetary damages against a landlord-client; and successfully defending against a claim for violations of a non-compete clause against an independent contractor. Hannah also has over ten years of experience as a criminal prosecutor for the State of Georgia. She served as an Assistant District Attorney in Fulton County and an Assistant Solicitor in DeKalb County. She currently serves as a Magistrate Judge in Fulton County. Hannah began her legal career as a trademark attorney at an IP boutique firm in New York City. Attorney Linda E. May has over 16 years of experience as a practicing real estate attorney. Linda is an Atlanta native who went to Georgia State University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications with emphasis in Radio, Television and Film. After which she was hired by WXIA, an NBC affiliate, as a reporter. She completed her education at Emory Law School in Atlanta, where she received her JD degree. She was admitted to the Georgia Bar Association in 2000. She then clerked in Superior Court for Judge Mary Staley. In 2000, she became a partner at Ward & Teasley in Cumming. In 2001, Perrie & Cole hired her to be their Managing Attorney over their Metro Brokers Account who at that time had 20 offices and 2500 agents. With a team of 4 other attorneys, Ms. May provided excellent legal services to their client. After 5 years Ms. May went into practice with Weissman Nowack Curry & Wilco. There she opened their Mansell, Cumming and Gainesville offices. Targeted real estate broker clients included Coldwell Banker, Berkshire Hathaway, Century 21, Norton Realty, Jenny Pruitt. She was recognized as receiving the highest percentage of closings from her clients due to her customer service and that of her staff. Additionally, they had repeat business with many lenders, banks and builders. During that time she closed approximately 1800 real estate transactions, most of which were repeat clients, most of whom she still serves today. In 2010, Ms. May opened Linda May & Associates which she successfully operated for 6 years. Sherynda attended Georgia State University where she majored in English with a minor in Legal Studies. After receiving her Bachelors in 2007, she attended Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she received her Juris Doctor in 2010. Sherynda specializes in Real Estate and Bankruptcy Law. She has more than seven years of experience conducting closings, reviewing title, Attorney Title Opinions, creating lender loan packages and clearing title as well as representing consumers, private companies and financial institutions in Chapter 7, 11 & 13 Bankruptcy filings. While owning and managing a mortgage brokerage for 18 years Susan Dassow attended John Marshal Law School as a part-time student. Upon being admitted to the State of Georgia Bar in 2000 she continued to operate in the mortgage business and also worked as a contract closing attorney for a law firm specializing in real estate law. Ms. Dassow has been with a related firm and Perrie & Associates, LLC since 2005. Her mortgage background is a great asset to our real estate closing department. While her office is at our West Cobb branch she is also a traveling attorney. We will arrange to close a real estate transaction in any of our locations or at a remote location if needed. Ms. Dassow is our expert on reverse mortgages and often meets with the Borrower(s) at their home to accommodate an elderly Borrower and to thoroughly explain the settlement documents. She also assists clients with small business opportunities establishing business entities such a C-Corporations and Limited Liability Companies. Preparing Wills is another practice area for Ms. Dassow.
